How can I get tickets to a Entertainment event OR Ohio State basketball, hockey or football?
Tickets are available at the Center Box Office, and Ticketmaster Centers. Charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or print your tickets today at TicketFast at www.ticketmaster.com.  Event information is available by calling 1-800-ARENA-01.

What is the arena's infant policy?
For Ohio State games - everyone must have a ticket. For Entertainment -- Children under the age of two may sit in the lap of a ticket-holder without a ticket. 

Are cameras permitted at shows or games at Value City Arena? Camera.jpg
Cameras are permitted for all Ohio State athletic events; however, professional lenses are not permitted. At no time may photography interfere with other guests' enjoyment.  For Entertainment events, the camera policy can vary from event to event so call ahead to check.

Drop-Off/ Pick-Up Area:  Guests will be permitted to drop off without having to pay for parking.  Enter Borror Drive on the west side of the building from Fred Taylor Drive or the east side off Olentangy River Road and let the officers know you need to drop someone off and they will direct you.

How can I get backstage passes?
Backstage passes are supplied by the tour. The Schottenstein Center does not have access to backstage passes.

What accomodations are there for people with disabilities?
Disability Assistance - Simply notify a staff member at any of our entrances upon arrival and a representative will pick you up in a wheelchair and escort you as close as possible to your seat, then, make arrangements to pick you up after the event. 

  • Assisted Listening Devices - headsets and receivers for our multi-channel LPB Radio-Aide - are available at no charge at Guest Services located at Section 122 on the entry level.  Either a driver's license or credit card will be required as a deposit.
  • Tickets in Accessible Seating Areas are available for purchase for guests in wheelchairs or with limited mobility on each level and within each price type for any event and can be purchased through the Center Ticket Office in person or by calling 614-292-2624 OR through Ticketmaster by visiting the nearest Ticketmaster outlet, calling 1-800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.  Please indicate the need for disability seating. 
  • Wheelchair Companion Seating is reserved for the companions of guests in wheelchairs.   Our general policy for Entertainment Events is that each guest in a wheelchair is allowed to purchase up to three (3) companion seats in the accessible seating area.  For OSU Athletics Events, each guest in a wheelchair may purchase one (1) companion seat in the accessible area.  Additional seats may be purchased in the nearest conventional seats.  This policy may be adjusted when there is high demand  but tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and there is no guarantee that companion tickets will be available. 
  • Tickets in Sections for Patrons with Visual or Hearing Impairments are available for purchase (unless not permitted by the touring artists) through the Center Ticket Office or TDD 614-292-6374 or Ticketmaster.  Please indicate the need for visually-impaired or hearing-impaired seating to the ticket seller. 
  • Interpreting Services arrangements can be provided at no charge by calling the Center's ADA Coordinator Scott Dickson at 614-688-3939 at least three weeks prior to the event.
  • ADA Ticket Exchanges can be made to accommodate guests with disabilities.  If a guest in a wheelchair exchanges a conventional seat ticket for a ticket in an accessible area, the Center will make every effort to provide new tickets in the closest comparable accessible seating location. 
  • Animal policy
    Animals are not allowed except those with disabled guests.  Please contact the Center's ADA Coordinator Scott Dickson at 614-688-3939 to set up accommodations.

Does the Center give TOURS?
Tours can be arranged by calling 614-688-3939.

Are there ATMs inside the arena? 
ATM.jpg  ATMs are available at sections 117, 131 and 231 in the Huntington Level.

Are bags or backpacks allowed?
No - large bags and backpacks are NOT permitted inside the arena at any time.  You will be instructed to return the item to your vehicle if you arrive at the Center with such an item. 

Are banners, posters/signs or noise-making devices allowed?
Banners or signs are not  permitted for OSU games.  For Entertainment events, the sign policy can vary, so please call ahead to check.  Signs deemed offensive, vulgar or commercial in nature are not permitted. Noise-making devices, including horns, whistles, air horns, change filled milk jugs, cow bells, bugles, etc. are not permitted.

What time do doors open?
Doors typically open 60 to 90 minutes prior to the start of the event.  Call 614-688-3939 to verify times for the event you will be attending.

Call our Administrative Office at 614-688-3939 and give them the exact seat location including Section, Row and Seat number - we will gladly take a message to them.  We are unable to make PA announcements during events.

Depending on the audience and type of event, standing may be accepted.  Guests are permitted to stand if the majority of the crowd is.  Many artists instruct JSC staff not to ask anyone to sit down during their performance, though each situation will be handled on an individual basis.  Standing on seats is never permitted.  Intoxication, using obscene or abusive language, throwing objects on the event floor or stage may lead to ejection.

Where is Guest Services located?
Guest Services is located on the Main Concourse at Section 122.  Guest Services distributes assisted listening devices and alternative format materials.

The Hall of Fame is located across from The Official Team Shop and is open during normal business hours and during all OSU athletic events.  Admission is free!

Where is Lost & Found located?
During an event, all Lost & Found items (including lost children) are taken to Guest Services (Section 122).  After the event, unclaimed items are taken to the administration offices.  If you need to follow-up about a lost item, please call 614-688-3939.
What items ARE permitted?
• Baby seats - only if the guest has a separate ticket for the child (if not, the item can be checked-in at Guest Services (section 122)
• Books, newspapers and magazines
• Binoculars 
• Cellular phones
• Pagers
• Purses
• Walkman radios with headphones and only for OSU athletic events
• Watchman televisions with headphones and only for OSU athletic events
What items are prohibited?
For the safety and comfort of guests, staff, and the artist, the following are never permitted:
• Animals (except service animals assisting guests with disabilities)
• Coolers or containers (includes cans and bottles)
• Fireworks or explosives
• Food or beverages
• Helium balloons and beach balls
• Illegal Drugs
• Laser Pointers
• Noise makers and horns
• Strollers
• Weapons of any kind (includes some pocket knives, wallet chains, tools and some jewelry)
• ANY item that in the judgment of JSC Management poses a safety hazard or diminishes the enjoyment of an event by other guests.

A parent's quiet room is an area where parents can relax during certain concerts. Snacks, magazines and a television are all available in the Quiet Room. A ticket for the event is not required, however, parents do not have access to the show and must remain in the Quiet Room. Please call to see if there is a Quiet Room for the event your child is attending.

What is the Center's Re-Entry policy?
Guests of the Center may not leave and then re-enter. 

Where are the seating locations inside the arena?
• Floor Level: Seats are located flat on the floor and accessible by stairs, elevator or seating down aisles.
• Entry Level: Also known as the 100 Level seats, they are located off the Entry Level concourse and range from 101 to 134.
• Huntington Club Level: 200 Level seating found one level up from the entry level. Escalator, elevator or stairway can access this level. This level is restricted during Men's Basketball games to those with proper tickets (200 Level, Suite ticket holders, PSL ticket holders or Endowment Club members).
• Terrace Level: 300 level seating is two levels up from the Entry Level. Access can be found by taking an elevator, escalator or stairway.

What is the building's Smoking Policy?
access4.jpgSmoking is strictly prohibited inside the Center. However, designated smoking areas are located on our outdoor terraces located across from Sections 330 and 333.
 
What is the Tag-a-Kid program?
Oftentimes when children are separated from their parents / guardians, they do not know their seat location. Families simply need to check in at Guest Services to enroll - each child will be given a wristband to wear that indicates the child's seat location. In the unfortunate event that the child gets separated from his/her group, we can efficiently return them to their parents/guardians. 
 
Are telephones available?
Accessible telephones are located on various levels of The Jerome Schottenstein Center. Public pay phones are located on the Entry level outside section 131 and inside the Northwest Rotunda and on the Huntington level at section 217.  A public TDD is located on the Entry Level in the JSC Administration Office.
